First performed at the Fantasy High Street bicycle-powered cinema in Nunhead, The Cabinet create a masterpiece of live FX and live score for Chomet’s seminal piece of animation: orchestral instruments, toys and other found objects create a wealth of “foley” capturing the dark and humorous atmosphere of the film while flamenco guitar, clarinet, harp and percussion build thematic odes to Breton folk, tango, Dixie Jazz, the Stranglers and Led Zeppelin.
