The Enchanted Cinema: The Twenties.
The Enchanted Cinema’s ambitious new project spans the revolutionary decade of the 1920s and features some of its most daring and innovative film-makers whose experiments in cinema-craft shaped everything to follow, from horror to Hitchcock to sci-fi.
Featuring a mind-blowing selection of scenes from the work of Lotte Reineger (The Adventures of Prince Achmed), Fritz Lang (Metropolis), Walter Ruttman (Opus II), Vertov (Man with a Movie Camera) & FW Murnau (Nosferatu).
With original compositions by Kieron Chissik (viola, guitar, percussion) and Gareth Wilkins (piano, harp, aquaphone).
This Enchanted Cinema Screen Heritage event is supported by Film Hub London, managed by Film London. Proud to be a partner of the BFI Film Audience Network, funded by the National Lottery. www.filmlondon.org.uk/filmhub.
