The Cabinet’s score to these epic works of psychedelic surrealist cinema moves between the Mexican, South American and European influences that have fascinated the group since their inception 4 years ago. Bringing together all but one of the Cabinet’s performers for the writing and premier of the score (Rich Mix, LOMW festival, 2014), the score features cello, trumpet, acoustic and electric guitars, tabla, dulcimer and live Foley and threads together the many different moods of the film: religious experience, satirical humour, the lunacy of dreams, the sublime poetry of film.
