Returning to our beloved sylvan setting of Hallr Wood for a special night of interactive cinema themed around conjuring, wizardry and magical feats featuring….

4 x excerpts from Lotte Reineger’s ground-breaking silhouette animation film (the first ever animated feature) from 1926 with experimental effects by Lotte, Walter Ruttman and others.

Our fave scene depicts two shape-shifting wizards battling by…well, shape-shifting into all sorts of creatures which your job is to impersonate. We’ll be asking audience members of all ages to help us create live sound FX to the extracts from our host of instruments.

Evening Programme:

6pm – warm up and handing out of FX instruments

6.30pm – rehearsals with you – the pop-up Orchestra of Enchanted Sounds.

7pm – performance of excerpts from The Adventures of Prince Achmed (1926) with The Orchestra of Enchanted Sounds + The Enchanted Cinema.

7.30-8pm – Hedgehog in the Fog with live score by The Enchanted Cinema.

Post-Show – fireside music with band + friends.

Raising money through donations for CDs for Climate Ed – raising awareness of climate change in schools.

We will also be donating towards the Hallr Wood projects as part of tonight’s event.
